About PhotoGather
PhotoGather is for the bit after the holiday, party, wedding, birthday, or weekend away, when the good photos are hiding across a dozen phones and three group-chat threads.
Create an event, invite the people who were there, and let everyone choose what they actually want in the album. Take photos as normal, then add them when you have a minute. PhotoGather keeps the good shots in one place, so nobody has to chase links, download duplicates, or remember who has sent what where.

In-app access is restricted to the owner and authorised event members. Contributors can withdraw their photos while collecting; owners can manage attendees and remove photos from the album pool.
Publish the finished album to GroupAlbums for keeping and sharing, or choose Google Drive or an export. Access to a published copy depends on how you share it. PhotoGather is the temporary workspace for gathering and arranging your photos.

It is not trying to become another permanent photo album app. It helps the event owner gather everyone's best photos, shape them into one considered album, then publish that final album to the owner's chosen storage.
Add PhotoGather to your phone home screen so active events are easy to find later, without digging back through old group-chat messages or invite links.
Create an album before or after a holiday, party, wedding, birthday, or family day out. The event owner invites the attendees who may have taken useful photos.
Attendees add their own photos directly to the event album. They can review what is already there first, avoiding duplicates, near-identical shots, and random photo spam.
Each person can withdraw photos they added. The owner can also remove any photo from the album pool, so the final set has a bit of artistic control instead of becoming a dumping ground.
The event shows who is still choosing. When attendees are finished, they mark themselves done so the owner knows the album is ready to complete.
Close collection, arrange the photos, then publish to GroupAlbums or another destination. From Manage, the owner can open the published album, reopen collection, or clear the temporary working photos when they are no longer needed.
